Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026. Applies to sawchainsize.com.

What we collect

• Nothing, for the lookup tools. The Chain Finder runs entirely in your browser. Your selections are not sent to us or stored.
• Analytics. We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which pages are used (for example, page views and approximate region). We do not build advertising profiles of individual visitors.
• Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address and the content of your message, and use them only to reply and to act on corrections or requests.

Cookies

• This site sets, at most, a functional cookie remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice.
• Outbound retailer links. Links to retailers currently carry no affiliate tags, and this site does not set or read any tracking identifiers on them. Once you leave this site, the retailer's own cookies and policies apply. If affiliate links are added in future, this page will be updated before they go live to explain any tracking cookies the retailer or its affiliate network may set to attribute a purchase to this site.
• Advertising. If display advertising is added in future, the ad network may set cookies as described in its own policy; this page will be updated before that happens.

What we never do

• We do not sell personal data. We have none to sell: no accounts, no checkout, no mailing list at this time.
• We do not collect payment information — purchases happen entirely on the retailer's site.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children; this is a power-tool reference site intended for adults.

Your requests

To ask what information we hold about you (for email correspondence, that is simply your messages), or to have it deleted, write to contact@sawchainsize.com or use the contact page. We respond to privacy requests from any jurisdiction, including under Canada's PIPEDA and applicable US state laws.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
